About

Mette Thorsen is a Danish journalist who specializes in health care communication, working for pharmaceutical companies as well as public institutions in the health sector. She integrates corporate values and strategies into documentary-style narratives that help unite a company’s stakeholders, regardless of whether they are thought leaders, patients or company employees. For patient education and adherence programs, she translates patient-centered strategies into solutions that give voice to patient needs, desires, fears, and motivations. Mette is affiliated with a network of global photographers, art directors and B2B agencies.

Publications

Mette authored the first book in Denmark to make use of nonfiction narratives in patient education. It was published by the Gyldendal Group and later selected by a book club for health care professionals (Fortællinger fra hjertet [Tales from the Heart], Munksgaard 2009).
